From concept design and utility interconnection application through engineering and construction…  


With two (2) Power Electronics central inverters, approximately 10,000 SunPower Solar PV modules, and over a mile of medium voltage distribution, this design-build solar PV project offsets the quarry electrical load by approximately 97%. 


With a primary and secondary service consolidation onto the 34.5kV distribution system, we were able to increase the plant size by approximately 50%. 

Flemington, NJ – 1.95MW(AC)/2.5MW(DC) Ground Mount PV System

Triad performed the project interconnection and design engineering, then was engaged to build this solar PV system in just a few months.  In order to meet this deadline, Gavan Graham Electrical Products fabricated inverter switch racks to minimize field wiring and expedite the project timeline. 


This project is a direct grid connect, 15kV interconnection, which utilized directional boring to minimize impact on wetlands.  The system is comprised of 7,800 Trina Solar modules and 65 Huawei Technologies inverters, five (5) Gavan Graham switch racks and one (1) 3000A, 480V AC collector switchboard. 

Once the largest PV project in the state, this solar farm produces approximately 26,652,000 kWh of clean electricity annually which is enough to power 2,665 homes.


This environmentally friendly project will help save 3,919 acres of trees, equivalent to offsetting 21,012 tons of carbon dioxide per year. 


This system had 1MW(AC) platforms constructed and tested in a factory, with local power and communications pre-wired, to facilitate the installation.  The system aggregates at a 1200A, 35kV substation for a direct utility grid connection. 

Branchburg Township Ground Mount & Carport Solar PV Project

Branchburg Township engaged Triad to design and provide professional engineering/construction oversight services, in a green initiative for a multi-phase project with a 250kW ground mount, 50kW carport and electric vehicle charging stations.
