Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical & Industrial Facilities
Triad has over 45 years of refinery experience in designing and building power systems for major refinery companies in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Germany, Kuwait, Qatar, Nigeria and South America.
Triad capabilities extend from working with plantwide power systems with incoming voltage at 230kV and 150MW loads to process unit design, including design in hazardous areas, instrumentation, cogeneration, emergency and standby power, combined heat and power, startup/commissioning and plant turnarounds. Triad is also experienced with non-U.S.A., IEC requirements and other country standards and requirements.
In pharmaceuticals, Triad has worked for most of the U.S.’ major pharmaceuticals in support of power system infrastructure and unit design to GMP and FDA requirements. Triad has designed and installed major substations and cogeneration to system power needs.
For large industrial complexes Triad has developed cost effective power infrastructure that can grow with site development and offer flexible designs for implementation of on- site cogeneration, renewable plants or participate in utility demand management systems.
New Elevated, Low and Medium Voltage Waterfront Substations
Provided complete engineering design, specifications, bid support and project management support for the replacement of three (3) substations damaged by Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
Design included new substations installed in pre-fabricated stainless-steel enclosures mounted on elevated steel platforms. Two (2) of the three (3) substations were installed in a double-wide enclosure.
Transformers and backup generator were elevated on solid concrete piers surrounded by an elevated maintenance platform for access.
Design included civil, structural, electrical and controls as well as load transfer procedures from existing temporary distribution to the new substations.
Output distribution included overhead cable tray on steel supports to existing pumping stations.
Prefabricated Walk-In Substation
Provided complete engineering design, specifications, bid support and project management support for the replacement of existing obsolete substation.
Design included a double ended substation installed in pre-fabricated stainless-steel enclosures mounted on elevated steel platform.
Replaced existing oil filled transformers and concrete pads. Design included new oil containment system.
Design included civil, structural, electrical and controls as well as load transfer procedures from existing temporary distribution to the new substation.
Output distribution included custom stainless-steel splice boxes below the new substation platform to intercept existing outgoing feeders.
